Police arrived within two minutes, but the suspect had already fled in an unknown direction. A search with the department’s K-9 unit was unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin man armed with a handgun and wearing all dark-colored clothing, including black gloves, a hooded sweatshirt and pants, with cloth or netting covering his face.

No one was injured, police said Sunday.

Swansea Police Chief Steve Johnson said police do not believe the incident was random.

“Due to the totality of the information given by the victims, it is believed this residence was targeted, and this was not a random crime at a random residence,” Johnson said.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the CrimeStoppers Tip Hotline: 866-371-TIPS (8477).
