Police are searching for a teenager in connection with alleged home repair fraud in Caseyville.
James Michael Richardson, 18, of Huntington, Indiana, allegedly accepted more than $7,000 under a contract with an 87-year-old Caseyville resident to complete home repairs. But the project was never completed, police said.
Caseyville Police Detective Michael Reel initiated an investigation on Dec. 28, 2015. The St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s office on Monday charged Richardson with aggravated home repair fraud, a Class 2 felony. Richardson’s bond was set at $100,000. He is currently at large.
