Belleville man sought in Caseyville attack

Caseyville police are asking for help from the public to track down a suspect in a domestic disturbance case.

According to police reports, Maurice Rhodes, 28, of Kinney Drive in Belleville, is wanted in connection with a domestic disturbance Feb. 21 in the 8800 block of Bermuda Drive in Caseyville. The victim is described as the girlfriend of the suspect. She received injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Rhodes, who police said fled from the scene before they arrived, was charged Monday with one felony count of aggravated domestic battery and two misdemeanor charges of domestic battery. He remains at large.
