Police investigate metro-east man’s death after MetroLink altercation

The death of a man from Madison County on a St. Louis MetroLink platform is being investigated as a homicide.

Jordan Taynor, 33, who grew up in Bethalto, was found March 19 on the South Euclid MetroLink platform suffering from a head injury.

Taynor told St. Louis police he had been in a fight and he just got out of the hospital after a bout with seizures. His condition worsened and he died April 1 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

St. Louis police said they are reviewing MetroLink Security tapes in hopes of learning more about the events that led up to Taynor’s death.

His funeral is set for 11 a.m. in Alton at River of Life Church in Alton.
