Shiloh man charged with aggravated battery to a child

A Shiloh man has been charged with aggravated battery to a child after his son was taken to a local medical center for treatment.

According to police reports, a juvenile male was taken Tuesday to the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Urgent Care location with unspecified injuries. Police were notified of the case by medical workers and an investigation was launched.

Shannon Horn, 38, of the 3700 block of Boatmans Point, was arrested Wednesay and police submitted the results of their investigation to the St. Clair County State’s Attroney’s Office Child Victim Unit for review.

Horn was charged Friday and he was ordered to be held on $75,000 bail. He remained in jail as of Monday.

Injuries to the child were described as minor. He was treated and released from the medical center.
