Three from metro-east guilty in narcotics conspiracy

Three metro-east residents are guilty of conspiracy to distribute narcotics following a U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency investigation that led to an indictment in November 2015.

According to Southern Illinois U.S. Attorney Donald Boyce, Gerald Tanner, 56, of Collinsville pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and methadone.

Ryan Koch, 34, and Lisa Marie Sue Ketterer, 26, both of Cahokia, also have previously pleaded guilty to similar charges in the case.

According to a statement from Boyce’s office, DEA agents first began investigating Tanner for allegedly distributing drugs from his Collinsville home. With the help of a confidential informant, the agents bought narcotics from Koch and Ketterer. Koch and Ketterer were supplied by Tanner.

Tanner, Koch and Ketterer each face maximum penalties of 20 years in prison, heavy fines and at least five years of probation.

Sentencing for Ketter is scheduled for Aug. 23. Koch will be sentenced Sept. 29. Tanner will be sentenced Oct. 19.
