Police issue Amber Alert for Vandalia boy

Vandalia police issued an Amber Alert late Saturday afternoon after suspecting that a non-custodial parent kidnapped his child.

Police believe 34-year-old Darrell Moulton abducted 9-year-old Gahrett Moultan in a maroon Buick Rendezvous, an SUV, around noon Saturday. Their direction of travel was unknown.

Darrell Moulton is 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, and has tattoos across his body. Gahrett was last seen wearing a dark Harley-Davidson T-shirt and blue and white plaid shorts.

Vandalia police encouraged people with information to call 618-283-0556.
