ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
WEDNESDAY, JULY 8
George L. Fifer, 41, of 311 Pine St., Edwardsville, arrested on suspicion of criminal disposal waster without a permit; criminal disposal of waste and open dumping, and two counts of violating EPA act of used tires from between Jan. 20 and May 22, by the St. Clair County sheriff. Fifer allegedly, knowingly conducted a waste-storage, waste-treatment, or waste-disposal operation, that exceeds 250 cubic feet of waste, in that he knowingly consolidated refuse, being greater than 50 waste tires, at 147 S. 15th St., East St. Louis, without a permit; knowingly consolidated refise, being greater than 50 waste tires, at a site, not being an approved sanitary landfill, located at 147 S. 15th St., East St. Louis; caused or allowed the operation of a tire storage site located at 147 S. 15th St., East St. Louis, except in compliance with regulations adopted by the Illinois Pollution Control Board; caused or allowed the operation of a tire storage site, containing more than 50 used tires, located at 147 S. 15th St., East St. Louis, without registration of the site with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
Joseph Toliver, 30, of 306 Buchanan St., Edwardsville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on or about July 6 by Caseyville police. Toliver allegedly, in committing a battery, and while he was at America’s Best Inn, 2423 Old Country Inn Drive, Caseyville, a public place of accommodation, knowingly made physical contact with Amber Dearmin, in that he grabbed her by the neck; he threw her against a wall; he repeatedly struck her in the face; pushed her to the ground.
THURSDAY, JULY 9
Ronald A. Boyd Jr., 64, of 3737 Ashby Road, 1108, St. Ann, Mo., arrested on suspicion of aiding a fugitive from between June 26 and June 27 by Illinois State Police. Boyd allegedly, a person 18 years of age or older, who, knowing Gregory Nelson to be an offender and with the intent to prevent the apprehension of Gregory Nelson, assisted Gregory Nelson in fleeing the State of Illinois, in which Gregory Nelson was to be arrested, in that he drove Gregory Nelson in a motor vehicle from St. Clair County to the state of Missouri and harbored Gregory Nelson in his residence located in the state of Missouri.
Troy E. Brown Jr., 21, of 5232 Gay Ave., Centreville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of residential burglary and burglary on or about April 28 by Centreville police. Brown allegedly, entered into the dwelling place of D.M., located in the 5000 block of Clarita, Centreville with the intent to commit theft therein; entered into the dwelling place of D.W., located in the 5000 block of Gay Ave., Centreville, with the intent to commit theft therein; entered into a motor vehicle, a silver 2008 Dodge Avenger of D.W., located in the 5000 block of Gay Ave., Centreville, with the intent to commit theft therein.
