THURSDAY, JULY 17

6:52 a.m. Aggravated domestic battery – 200 block of Bellevue Park Road.

8:43 a.m. Battery – 200 block of Bellevue Park Road.

9:41 a.m. Informational – 2100 block of Freeburg Avenue.

9:27 a.m. Traffic accident report – 200 block of North Illinois Street.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

THURSDAY, JULY 16

Christopher A. Bell, 25, of 2739 N. 40th St., Fairmont City, arrested on suspicion of three counts of domestic battery, subsequent, two counts of aggravated fleeing the police and resisting or obstructing a police officer on or about July 13 by Fairmont City police. Bell allegedly, caused physical contact to Ashely Bell-Wilhold, a family/household member, in that said defendant grabbed her by the throat; grabbed her by the leg and pulled her to the ground; slammed her to the ground by used his body; while operating a motor vehicle, a motorcycle, was given a visual sign by a police officer, Scott Rose, who was in police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing him to bring said motorcycle to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and that when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer he traveled at a rate of speed 21 mph over the legal speed limit and disobeyed two or more official traffic control devices; knowingly resisted the performance of Office Scott Rose of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Christopher Bell, knowing Officer Scott Rose to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he refused to be placed under arrest by pulling his arms away, and the actions of the defendant were the proximate cause of the injury to Officer Scott Rose that being a sprain to the right ankle and sprain to his left shoulder. Defendant has been previously convicted of domestic battery on April 25, 2013.

Cory A. Gehrs, 24, of 2074 Borchers Lane, O’Fallon, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery and four counts of domestic battery, subsequent on or about July 12 by Shiloh police. Gehrs allegedly, in committing a battery, knowingly caused bodily harm to Kayla Boyer, in that he fractured her nose; knowingly made physical contact with Kayla Boyer, a family/household member, in that said defendant threw her to the ground while striking her about the head; grabbed her by the throat while applying pressure; threw a cooler at the body of Kayla Boyer knocking her to the ground; dragged her by the feet and prevented her from moving. Defendant had previously been convicted of domestic battery on Dec. 12, 2013.

Mario E. Dace, 43, of 8709 Village Place, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about July 14 by Belleville police. Dace allegedly, took merchandise from CVS Pharmacy, 4609 W. Main St., Belleville, being assorted body sprays, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft, subsequent on March 9, 2010.

FRIDAY, JULY 17

Sterling D. Gould, 37, of 924 Peony Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of armed robbers with a firearm and felony possession of a firearm on or about July 12 by Belleville police. Gould allegedly, while armed with a dangerous weapon, a firearm, knowingly took property, being US currency from Karen Struttman, by threatening the imminent use of force; a person who had been convicted of a felony, knowingly possessed a Super Blackhawk silver/blue Ruger 44 Magnu. Defendant had been previously convicted of robberty 1st degree in St. Louis County, Mo.

Brian D. Pursell, 35, of 3267 South Belt West, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of possession of an amount of a controlled substance on or about July 14 by St. Clair County sheriff. Pursell allegedly, had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Anthony M. Vaughn, 29, of 235 Judith Lane, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of robbery and aggravated battery on or about July 9 by Cahokia police. Vaughn allegedly, took property, being a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and wallet containing US currency from Travis Schlegel by the use of force; in committing a battery, and while Austin Pyle was in a car traveling northbound on Mississippi Avenue in Cahokia, a public way, knowingly caused bodily harm to Austin Pyle, in that he struck him about the face with his fist.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

FRIDAY, JULY 17

Shawn L. Steele, 23, of 312 Garden St., Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of robbery and two counts of aggravated battery in a public place on or about July 9 by Cahokia police. Steele allegedly, knowingly took property, being a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 cellular phone and wallet and its contents including U.S. currency from Travis Schlegel by the use of force; in committing a battery, and while Austin Pyle was in a car traveling northbound of Mississippi Ave. in Cahokia, a public way, knowingly caused bodily harm to him in that Steele struck Pyle about the face with his fist; in committing a battery, and while Robert Schrader was in a car at the intersection of Cahokia, a public way, knowingly caused bodily harm to Schraeer, in that he tased him.

Leonta D. White, 23, of 1808 Missouri, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on or about June 19 by East St. Louis police. White allegedly, carried on his person a .22 caliber pistol at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, of fixed place of business, and said defendant had not been issued a current, valid FOID Card.

Cody A. Vernoy, 24, of 37 Godin Ave., East Carondelet, arrested on suspicion of theft and driving while driver’s license is revoked, subsequent on or about July 14 by Dupo police. Vernoy allegedly, took property of H & M Backhoe Services, being a generator and a pump, total value in excess of $500; drove a white 1997 Chevrolet truck on Water Street in Cahokia, at a time when defendant’s driver’s license was revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Dec. 3, 2014.

Latoya S. Bean, 30, of 81 Wilshire, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault and domestic battery on or about July 15 by Fairview Heights police. Bean allegedly, without justification operated a motor vehicle, a 2014 Nissan Versa, in a manner which placed Jason C. Bean in a reasonable apprehension of being struck by a moving motor vehicle, and that while said defendant was driving onto the property of the residence located at 81 Wilshire, Fairview Heights, she attempted to strike Jason C. Bean with the vehicle; knowingly made physical contact with Jason C. Bean, a family/household member, in that said defendant struck the arm of Jason C. Bean with a purse.

Marcus M. Lee, 35, of East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of probation violation by East St. Louis police.

Marquis D. Wilson, 18, of Cahokia, warrant arrest by East St. Louis police.

Timothy L. Leininger, 50, of Belleville, arrested on suspicion of domestic battery by St. Clair County sheriff.

Bryant A. Simon, 25, of Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of theft over $300 and warrant arrest by Fairview Heights police.

John A. Harris, 24, of Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of two counts of battery by Belleville police.

Lori J. Vannoy, 37, of Belleville, arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and parole violation by Fairview Heights police.

David A. Lintzenich Jr., 18, of O’Fallon, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery by O’Fallon police.

Lastara D. Thomas, 24, of East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft by Miscellaneous agencies.

Aspin M. Walta, 19, of Marissa, warrant arrest by Marissa police.
