The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
FRIDAY, SEPT. 25
- Lashane R. Conner, 28, of 503 Abend St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Sept. 24 by Cahokia police. Conner allegedly, took merchandise from Walmart, 1511 Camp Jackson Road, Cahokia, being cell phone chargers, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of burglary on Dec. 1, 2005.
- Tyress R. Wilson, 26, of 134 N. Virginia Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent and resisting a police officer on or about Sept. 23 by Swansea police. Wilson allegedly, took merchandise from Moto Mart, 1324 N. Illinois St., Swansea, being a 12 pack of Bud Ice beer, total retail value not in excess of $300; knowingly resisted the performance of Eric Rohn of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Tyress Wilson, knowing Eric Rohn to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he refused to be handcuffed. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft on May 11, 2009.
- Jeremiah S. Erb, 34, homeless in Belleville, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Sept. 24 by Belleville police. Erb allegedly, took merchandise from K-Mart, 7230 Westfield Plaza, Belleville, being baby formula, not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of theft on Aug. 27, 2007.
- Xavier D. Adams, 18, of 605 St. Nicholas, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of burglary on or about Sept. 22 by Belleville police. Adams allegedly, entered a building of Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, a place of worship, located at 8201 Old St. Louis Road, Belleville, with the intent to commit theft therein.
- Robert J. Hardy, 21, of 839 St. Cletus Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of burglary on or about Sept. 22 by Belleville police. Hardy allegedly, entered a building of Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, a place of worship, located at 8201 Old St. Louis Road Belleville, with the intent to commit theft therein.
- Brandon S. Smith, 23, of 2216 Melanie Lane, Marion, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of cannabis on or about Sept. 24 by Fairview Heights police. Smith allegedly, had in his possession more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
MONDAY, SEPT. 28
- David K. Mann, 54, of 1222 W. Main St., Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, two counts of domestic battery on or about Sept. 25 by Mascoutah police. Mann allegedly, in committing a domestic battery, strangled Ashley Mann, a family/household member, in that said defendant intentionally impeded the normal breathing of Ashley Mann by applying pressure to her neck; knowing made physical contact with Ashley Mann, a family/household member of the defendant, in that he threw her to the ground; grabbed her by the neck.
- Brian C. O’Rourke, 46, of 203 E. Ellis St., Summerfield, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving on revoked or suspended driver’s license on or about Sept. 25 by St. Clair County sheriff. Orourke allegedly, drove a Chevrolet Silverado of Midgley Neiss Road in Lebanon, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant’s driving privileges were revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Jan. 23, 2004.
- Ruth Vaughn, 54, of 1930 E. Ohio Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on or about Sept. 25 by St. Clair County sheriff. Vaughn allegedly, and by the use of a deadly weapon, a knife, knowingly caused bodily harm to Deverick Hudson, in that she stabbed him in the leg.
- Christopher M. Cordes, 52, of 3051 Alpine Hills Drive, Barnhart, Mo., arrested on suspicion of attempted home invasion on or about Sept. 18 by Mascoutah police. Cordes allegedly, performed a substantial step toward the commission of that offense in that he, with the intent to commit the offense of home invasion, performed a substantial step toward the commission of that offense, in that he, a person not a peace officer acting in the line of duty, knowingly and without authority attempted to enter the dwelling place of T.S., located in the first block of West Main St., Mascoutah, knowing T.S. to be present within that dwelling place and while armed with a firearm, a pistol, threatened the imminent use of force against T.S. in that said defendant came to a door of said dwelling place and attempted to enter through that door of the dwelling place.
- Lonzell M. Haire, 57, of 3711 Round Hill Road, 6, Swansea, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while driver’s license is revoked, subsequent on or about Sept. 26 by Fairview Heights police. Haire allegedly, drove a white 2004 Dodge Ram on St. Clair Ave. in Fairview Heights, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant’s driving privileges were revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Feb. 18, 2004.
