The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 30
- Jason S. Hatley, 29, of 1927 Route 13, Lenzburg, arrested on suspicion of violate order of protection, subsequent and resisting a police officer on or about Sept. 27 by Marissa police. Hatley allegedly, having been served with the contents of an order of protection, did knowingly commit an act which was prohibited by the order of protection in that said defendant came within 500 feet of Mary Hatley, a protected party; knowingly resisted the performance of Brian Sheridan, of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Jason Hatley, knowing Brian Sheridan to be a police officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he pulled his left arm away and ran into the house. Defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery on July 24.
- Johnnie A. Ricks III, 33, of 807 N. 33rd St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence on or about march 14 by St. Clair County sheriff. Ricks allegedly, had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine; drove a gray 2014 Dodge Charger on Illinois Route 15 in Belleville, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol.
- John A. Fosnock, 25, of 101 Holtz St., Marissa, arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance on or about Sept. 3 and Sept. 10 by St. Clair County sheriff. Fosnock allegedly, delivered to a C.S. less than one gram of a substance containing heroin.
- Jonathan J. Parker, 27, of 7562 Richter Road, Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Sept. 28 by Belleville police. Parker allegedly, took merchandise from Walmart, 2608 Greenmolunt Commons, Belleville, being a shirt, a pair of shorts, a belt and other merchandise, total retail not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of burglary on Dec. 12, 2008.
- Devante C. Taylor, 22, of 1410 Shilling St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property on or about Sept. 28 by East St. Louis police. Taylor allegedly, damaged property of Family Dollar, being windows in the building located at 2318 State St., East St. Louis, said damage in excess of $300.
- Craig E. Summers, 44, homeless, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about July 11 by O’Fallon police. Summers allegedly, took merchandise from Walmart, 1530 W. Highway 50, O’Fallon, being men’s socks, underwear and T-shirts, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft, subsequent on May 27.
THURSDAY, OCT. 1
- Amir F. Hunt-Salaam, 22, of 655 Alhambra Court, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on or about Sept. 29 by Belleville police. Hunt-Salaam allegedly, carried in a vehicle a 9mm pistol at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, and said defendant had been issued a current, valid FOID Card; said defendant was engaged in a misdemeanor violation of the cannabis control act.
- Malcolm Halwachs, 30, of 1 First Western Inn, Caseyville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about Marcy 17 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Halwachs allegedly, had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.
- Eric E. Humphries, 42, of 2406 Antiquity Lane, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Sept. 29 by Belleville police. Humphries allegedly, took merchanise from Circle K, 10 South Belt West, Belleville, being two bottles of tequila and two bottles of vodka, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft on Nov. 9, 2005.
- Harding Lovett, 58, of 221 N. 44th St., 4, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about Sept. 30 by St. Clair County sheriff. Lovett allegedly, a person convicted of a felony, knowingly possessed in his residence a 9mm handgun; had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin. Defendant had been previously convicted of tehft over $300.
