The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
THURSDAY, NOV. 12
- Steven D. Forrester, 39, of 488 McBride Ave., 12, Dupo, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while driver’s license is revoked, subsequent on or about Nov. 8 by Dupo police. Forrester allegedly, drove a silver 2001 Ford Focus on Water Street in O’Fallon, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant’s driving privileges were revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Oct. 18, 2006.
- Darryl D. Lewis, 38, of 116 E. Monroe St., A, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance on or about Oct. 27, Oct. 29 by St. Clair County sheriff. Lewis allegedly, delivered to a C.S. less than one gram of a substance containing heroin.
- Daveontay A. Brown, 28, of 4320 Bunkum Road, Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on or about Nov. 9 by Belleville police. Brown allegedly, entered into the dwelling place of T.B., located in the 100 block of Lucinda Avenue, Belleville, with the intent to commit theft therein.
- Charles N. Reed, 27, of 2704 E. Main St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, and two counts of domestic battery on or about Nov. 9 by Belleville police. Reed allegedly, in committing a domestic battery, strangled Jennifer Eichholz, a family/household member, in that said defendant intentionally impeded the normal breathing by applying pressure to her throat; grabbed her by her neck; pushed her to the ground.
- Michelle L. Showalter, 22, of 606 E. Poplar St., Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of theft from between Oct. 23 and Oct. 25 by Mascoutah police. Showalter allegedly, took property from Katherine Showalter, being U.S. currency, total value in excess of $500.
- Rebecca L. Thompson, 30, of 205 Hillwood Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on or about Nov. 9 by Belleville police. Thompson allegedly, entered into the dwelling place of N.H., located in the first block of Holdener Drive, Belleville, with the intent to commit theft therein.
- Marcus L. Washington, 32, of 1905 Cedarwood Trail, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on or about Nov. 7 by Belleville police. Washington allegedly, entered into the dwelling place of N.H., located in the first block of Holdener Drive, Belleville, with the intent to commit theft therein.
- James A. Muckensturm, 35, of 303 S. 16th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of debit card on or about Nov. 2 by Belleville police. Muckensturm allegedly, witht he intent to defraud the issuer, Bank of Edwardsville, used a Bank of Edwardsville Mastercard debit card, without the cardholders consent for the purpose of obtaining goods, being beer and cigarettes, total value not in excess of $300.
- Maxwell Davis, 18, of 104 N. 55th St., Alorton, arrested on suspicion of violating order or protection, subsequent on or about Nov. 11 by Belleville police. Davis allegedly, having been served with the contents of an order of protection on Sept. 23, did knowingly commit an act which was prohibited by the order of protection in that said defendant came within 500 feet of 4500 W. Washington, apt. 6D, Belleville, when a protected party was present. Defendant had been previously convicted of unlawful violation of an order of protection on Oct. 29, 2015.
- David Gilmore, 42, of 5347 Vine Ave., Affton, Mo., arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine precursor, possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a handgun on or about Nov. 10 by St. Clair County sheriff. Gilmore allegedly, had in his possession less than 15 grams of pseudoephedrine tablets a methamphetamine precursor in standard dose form, being a substance containing pseudoephedrine, with the intent that it be used to manufacture a substance containing methamphetamine; knowingly and unlawfully had in his possession less than 5 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine; being a narcotic addict, knowingly had a firearm, a black Ruger LCR .357 magnum revolver in his possession.
FRIDAY, NOV. 13
- Anthony B. Hunter, 48, of 403 N. 58th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of driving while driver’s license is revoked, subsequent and obstructing identification on or about July 25 by Sauget police. Hunter allegedly, drove a white 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis on 2600 Mississippi Ave. in Sauget, at a time when defendant’s driver’s license was revoked; knowingly furnished a false name to Scott Mundy, a peace officer for the city of Sauget, who has lawfully detained said defendant. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Oct. 15, 2010.
- Phillip Laughunn, 30, homeless, arrested on suspicion of three counts of forgery on or about Sept. 20 by O’Fallon police. Laughunn allegedly, with the intent to defraud, knowingly delivered to Walmart, a retail establishment, located at 1530 W. Highway 50, O’Fallon, a document apparently capable of defrauding another, in that it was purported to have been made by another, Sandra Goodman, being a check, drawn on PNC bank, payable to Walmart in the amount of $48.48 and signed unlawfully using the digital signature, knowing the document to have been thus made; being a check, drawn on PNC bank, payable to Walmart in the amount of $75.37 and signed unlawfully using the digital signature, knowing the document to have been thus made; being a check, drawn on PNC bank, payable to Walmart in the amount of $97.05 and signed unlawfully using the digital signature, knowing the document to have been thus made.
- Eugene A. Berry Jr., 24, of 1 Chelsea Drive, Apt. B, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about Nov. 11 by Fairview Heights police. Berry allegedly, had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
- Marlon M. Humphries, 11 N. 17th St., Apt. B, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault on or about Oct. 18 by Belleville police. Humphries allegedly, committed a criminal sexual assault against K.R., by the use of force.
- Marlon M. Humphries, 11 N. 17th St., Apt. B, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of criminal sexual assault on or about Nov. 8 by Belleville police. Humphries allegedly, committed criminal sexual assault against M.W., by the use of force.
MONDAY, NOV. 16
- Joseph A. Gould, 28, of 611 N. 4th St., Dupo, arrested on suspicion of theft of property from between Nov. 7 and Nov. 9 by Alorton police. Gould allegedly, took property from Andrew Petroff, bing one 50 gallon fuel tank and pump, as well as one Kubota Rough Terrain Vehicle, total value in excess of $500 but no in excess of $10,000.
- Erika M. Tillman, 26, of 1350 S. Brookside, 57, Centralia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on or about Nov. 10 by Fairview Heights police. Tillman allegedly, carried in a vehicle a Black Taurus semiautomatic .40 caliber pistol, at a time when she was not on her own land, her own abode, or fixed place of business, and said defendant had not been issued a current, valid FOID Card.
- Christopher L. Dickey, 33, of 14 Hermitage Drive, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of driving while driver’s license is revoked, subsequent on or about Nov. 15 by Fairview Heights police. Dickey allegedly, drove a blue 1997 Dodge Ram on Commerce Lane in Fairview Heights, at a time when defendant’s driver’s license was revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on July 11, 2013.
- Kelvin E. Lewis, 64, of 1029 Brookshire Court, 5, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of theft, subsequent betweenNov. 13 and Nov. 15 by St. Clair County sheriff. Lewis allegedly, took property from BP On the Go, being cigarettes, total value not in excess of $500. Defendant had been previously convicted of burglary on March 11, 2003.
TUESDAY, NOV. 17
- Demond D. Crosby, 26, of 242 Brackett St., Swansea, arrested on suspicion of retail theft on or about Nov. 12 by Belleville police. Crosby allegedly, took merchandise from Walmart, 2608 Green Mount Commons, Belleville, being a 50 inch Samsung brand TV and 50 inch LG brand TV, total retail value in excess of $300.
- Nicholas L. Vogt, 27, of 109 N. Clinton St., New Athens, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about Nov. 15 by Freeburg police. Vogt allegedly, had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
- Matthew D. Bateman, 35, of 1312 North Main, Dupo, arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and methamphetamine precursor on or about Nov. 15 by St. Clair County sheriff. Bateman allegedly, had in his possession methamphetamine manufacturing material, being a lithium battery, camp fuel and coffee filters, with the intent that the lithium battery, camp fuel and coffee filters be used to manufacture methamphetamine; had in his possession less than 15 grams of a methamphetamine precursor in standard dose form, being a substance containing pseudoephedrine, with the intent that it be used to manufacture a substance containing methamphetamine.
- Cory S. Shackelford, 24, of 2307 Richland Prairie, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of three counts of aggravated arson on or about Nov. 16 by Belleville police. Shackelford allegedly, while committing an arson, knowingly partially damaged a building of Rajeshkumar Patel being a Subway Restaurant, located at 6407 W. Main St., knowing that or reasonably should have known that Haresh Patel was present therein; knowing that or reasonably should have known that Nitaben Patel was present therein; knowing that or reasonably should have known that Jeff Eisenburg was present therein.
- Ahsurah Shabaka, 36, of 19 French Village Motel, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about June 2 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Shabaka allegedly, had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.
- Corey A. Word, 37, of 4001 Autumn Oak Drive, Smithton, arrested on suspicion of possession of an amount of a controlled substance on or about Nov. 16 by Smithton police. Word allegedly, had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
- Sherri L. Knoke, 45, of 810 E. Fulton St., Apt. 13, Marissa, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and unlawful possession of a stolen firearm on or about Nov. 8 by Marissa police. Knoke allegedly, entered into the dwelling place of K.M., 500 block of Pinckneyville, Marissa, with the intent to commit theft therein; knowingly possessed a firearm, a .22 caliber handgun, with knowledge that it had been stolen and without being entitled to possess that firearm.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 18
- Charise T. Neysmith, 33, of 4547 Split Rock Drive, Apt. A, Scott AFB, arrested on suspicion of retail theft on or about Nov. 16 by Fairview Heights police. Neysmith allegedly, took merchandise from Old Navy, 6015 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, being several tank tops, pairs of leggings, pairs of shoes, and other merchandise, total retail value in excess of $300.
