ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 13
- Eddie T. Pratcher, 26, of 3030 Waverly Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of escape, two counts of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer, and criminal damage to government supported property on or about Jan. 1 by Washington Park police. Pratcher allegedly, while in the lawful custody of Michael Collins, a peace officer for the city of Washington Park, for the alleged commission of a felony offense, being aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer, intentionally escaped from the Washington Park Police Department; while operating a motor vehicle, a blue 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, was given a visual signal by a police officer, Michael Collins, who was in police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be n official police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring said blue 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix to a stop willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and that when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer, the defendant traveled at a rate of speed 21 mph over the legal speed limit; disobeyed two or more official traffic control devices, being stop signs; knowingly damaged, without the consent of the state of Illinois, the door frame at the Washington Park Police Department, located at 5621 Forest Blvd., Washington Park, which property is supported in part with the City of Washington Park, said damage not in excess of $500.
- Dartarius L. Gibson, 30, of 13 Lazarcheff Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Jan. 12 by Cahokia police. Gibson allegedly, took merchandise from Walmart, 1511 Camp Jackson Road, Cahokia, being body spray, deodorant and allergy medicine, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of forgery on July 31, 2006.
- Cartez Dixon, 19, of 5629 Eagle Valley Drive, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery, retail theft, criminal trespass and criminal damage to property on or about Jan. 12 by Fairview Heights police. Dixon allegedly, in committing a battery, and while on the on-ramp from Highway 159 to Interstate 64, Fairview Heights, a public way, knowing made physical contact with Alexandrea Cardwell, in that he sat on Alexandrea Cardwell’s lap; took merchandise from JC Penney, 245 St. Clair Square, Fairview Heights, being five bottles of cologne, total retail value in excess of $300; entered the motor vehicle of David and Alexandrea Cardwell, being a 2007 Toyota Scion; knowingly damaged property of David and Alexandrea Cardwell, a 2007 Toyota Scion, said damage not in excess of $300.
THURSDAY, JAN. 14
- Damon D. Mitchell, 45, of 8225 St. Phillips St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of deceptive practice on or about Nov. 17, 2015 by Shiloh police. Mitchell allegedly, with the intent to defraud and the intent to obtain property of Iowa Steak Co., a corporation doing business as Iowa Steak Co., being steaks and seafood, knowingly delivered a certain bank check to Nick Niemeyer, while located at 1790 Frank Scott Parkway, Shiloh, an employee of said corporation, dated Nov. 17, 2015, drawn on the Navy Federal Credit Union, payable to Nick Niemeyer int he amount of $950 and signed as drawer Damon Mitchell, knowing said check would not be paid by the depository.
- Riley J. Wallace, 20, of 2 Presidents Way, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer and obstructing a police officer on or about Jan. 14 by Belleville police. Wallace allegedly, while operating a motor vehicle, a Nissan Altima, was given a visual signal by a police officer, John Mayville, who was in police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring said Nissan Altima to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and than when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer, the defendant traveled at a rate of speed 21 mph over the legal speed limit; disobeyed two or more official traffic control devices, being stop signs; obstructed the performance of John Mayville of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Riley Wallace, knowing John Mayville to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he ran away from John Mayville after being ordered to get on the ground.
