Crime blotter April 10

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

MONDAY, MARCH 28

  • Tyrone Ashford, 57, of 116 N. 12th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of burglary on or about March 20 by Belleville police. Ashford allegedly, entered a building of Wenneman Properties, 1510 Lebanon Ave., Belleville, with the intent to commit theft therein.
  • Al D. Stewart, 33, of 211 Anna St., Swansea, arrested on suspicion of aggravated fleeing police on or about March 24 by Washington Park police. Stewart allegedly, while operating a motor vehicle, a gray Dodge pickup truck, was given a visual signal by a police officer, Leland Cherry, who was in police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights, which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring said gray Dodge pickup truck to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and that when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer, the defendant traveled at a rate of speed 21 mph over the legal speed limit.
  • Michael J. Whaley, 40, of 106 Hayden Drive, Columbia, arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine on or about March 25 by Dupo police. Whaley allegedly, had in his possession less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine.
  • Cassandra L. Mitchell, 34, of 13 Crestmover, Collinsville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about March 26 by Caseyville police. Mitchell allegedly, had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.
  • Michael Mills, 31, of 1645 Wren Drive, High Ridge, Mo., arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about March 26 by Belleville police. Mills allegedly, took merchandise from Wal-Mart, 2608 Green Mount Commons, Belleville, being jeans, pillow cases, T-shirt and other merchandise, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of stealing on Feb. 23, 2012.
  • Michelle Glover, 35, of 4212 E. Evans St., St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about March 27 by Sauget police. Glover allegedly, had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
  • Antonio J. Rodgers, 29, of 3106 Roland Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a vehicle registration on or about Dec. 1, 2015 by Swansea police. Rodgers allegedly, possessed Illinois registration plates, unlawfully displayed on a red 2007 Chevrolet Impala.
  • Christopher R. Sansom, 30, of 8 Oak Drive, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving on suspended license on or about March 28 by Fairview Heights police. Sansom allegedly, drove on Old Lincoln Trail in Fairview, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant’s driving privileges were suspended.
  • Robert B. Authement, 32, homeless, arrested on suspicion of fugitive from justice on or about March 28 by St. Clair County sheriff. Authement allegedly, after having been charged in Larimer County, State of Colorado, with the offenses of at-risk assault, knowing/reckless injury and criminal mischief under $300, fled the state of Colorado with the intent to avoid prosecution for those offenses.

TUESDAY, MARCH 29

  • David A. Stanley, 18, of 3 Fay Villa Court, Fayetteville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine on or about Dec. 15, 2015 by Fayetteville police. Stanley allegedly, had in his possession less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine.
  • Courtney P. Scott, 47, homeless, arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and felony possession on or about March 27 by Swansea police. Scott allegedly, while carrying a firearm on his person, knowingly took property, being U.S. currency, from the presence of James Ehrenstrom, by threatening the imminent use of force; a person who has been convicted of a felony, knowingly possessed a revolver. Defendant had been previously convicted of armed robbery, a forcible felony on Nov. 24, 2008.
  • Randi D. Johnson, 29, of 1750 College Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm and attempted aggravated battery with a firearm on or about March 27 by St. Clair County sheriff. Johnson allegedly, in committing a battery, knowingly and by means of discharging a firearm caused bodily harm to Jada Hall in that said defendant shot Jada Hall in the thigh with a firearm; in committing a battery, knowingly and by means of discharging a firearm caused bodily harm to Terry Cox in that said defendant shot Terry Cox in the back with a firearm; knowingly discharged a firearm, a handgun, in the direction of a vehicle, a 1995 Nissan Maxima located at Chevy Drive and Progress Lane, Belleville, with the knowledge that the vehicle was occupied; performed a substantial step toward the commission of that offense in that Randi D. Johnson, shot at Roderick Harris with a firearm.
