The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

TUESDAY, MARCH 29

  • Breon R. Williams, 22, of 822 N. Cherry St., 6, O’Fallon, arrested on suspicion of forgery on or about Jan. 31 by O’Fallon police. Williams allegedly, with the intent to defraud, knowingly delivered to U.S. Bank, located at 2665 N. Illinois St., Swansea, a document apparently capable of defrauding another, in that it was purported to have been made by another, Betty Young, a check, of Betty Young or Robert E. Young drawn on the U.S. Bank, dated Jan. 31, payable to Breon Williams in the amount of $650 and signed as drawer Betty Young, knowing the document to have been thus made.
  • Julianna N. Kavano-Mosley, 22, of 528 Steven Drive, Red Bud, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about March 28 by Fairview Heights police. Kavano-Mosely allegedly, took merchandise from J.C. Penney, 245 St. Clair Square, Fairview Heights, being 7 pairs of joggers, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of theft on July 16, 2015.
  • Thomas E. Williams III, 40, of 1601 N. Illinois St., Swansea, arrested on suspicion of driving while driver’s license is revoked, subsequent on or about Dec. 29, 2015 by Fairview Heights police. Williams allegedly, drove a gold 2009 Toyota Corolla on North Illinois Street in Fairview Heights, at a time when defendant’s driver’s license was revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Aug. 22, 2005.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30

  • Joseph M. Baum IV, 26, of 5 Independence Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance on or about March 29 by St. Clair County sheriff. Baum allegedly, possessed with the intent to deliver one gram or more but less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
  • Jordan L. Mason, 23, of 39 Worthington Drive, Apt. D, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about Aug. 27, 2015 by St. Clair County sheriff. Mason allegedly, had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
  • Alan W. Shoemaker, 60, of 524 Morgan St., Swansea, arrested on suspicion of unlawful failure to register as a sex offender and retail theft, subsequent on or about March 17 by Belleville police. Shoemaker allegedly, a sex offender, knowingly failed to provide correct information regarding his residence to the Chief of Police of the City of O’Fallon; took merchandise from Wal-Mart, 2608 Green Mount Commons, Belleville, being boots, shoe polish, WD-40 and snacks, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft on May 22, 2015.
  • Michael R. Alexander, 23, of 802 Union Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of four counts of aggravated battery on or about March 29 by Belleville police. Alexander allegedly, in committing a battery, and while at Southside Park, 600 S. 6th St., Belleville, a public place, knowingly made physical contact with a minor with the initials P.O., date of birth Sept. 10, 1998, in that he punched the minor in the head; in committing a battery, and while at Southside Park, 600 S. 6th St., Belleville, a public place, knowingly caused bodily harm to Jacob Reeder, in that he struck him in the head with a ratchet; knowingly caused harm to Jacob Reeder, in that he struck him in the head with a ratchet, causing a laceration and causing a concussion resulting in hearing loss in the right ear and vision loss in the right eye; in committing a battery, and by the use of a deadly weapon, a ratchet, knowingly struck Jacob Reeder in the head.
