Check out who graduated this year from southwestern Illinois high schools
The Class of 2020 will forever remember the historic circumstances that marked their senior years.
The COVID-19 pandemic led to the closing of schools across the country midway through their final semesters. Graduations either were canceled altogether or, as at most southern Illinois high schools, held virtually on the internet or delayed until the fall. Some, like Collinsville High School, had a drive-through graduation ceremony.
The Belleville News-Democrat wants to recognize the region’s seniors. With cooperation of high schools, here is a list of metro-east graduates. Click on the name of the high school to find the names of their graduates. If you don’t see your school currently listed, stand by -- some are still finalizing their lists.
