Latest winter weather advisory leads to school closings in the metro east
Metro-east students got an extended President’s Day weekend when winter’s latest blast dropped snow across the region over night.
The National Weather Service office in St. Louis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for most of the metro-east, with snowfall amounts ranging from a few inches to a foot across the region. In Belleville, the NWS is predicting an additional 2 to 4 inches through tonight.
The high temperature both today and Wednesday is expected to reach only 16 degrees.
