Icy forecast forces metro-east schools to close or schedule e-learning day. Here a list

With a possible blast of freezing rain, sleet and snow in the forecast, multiple metro-east school leaders have decided to either cancel classes or conduct a remote learning schedule Wednesday.

Classes were disrupted multiple times last month after the region was hit with freezing rain, sleet and snow.

A winter weather advisory goes into effect at 3 a.m. Wednesday and is scheduled to end at 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The following metro-east schools announced Tuesday that classes will be canceled or there will be an electronic-learning or “e-learning” day for Wednesday.

School administrators may report closings by emailing newsroom@bnd.com.
