SWIC to consider future staffing plans
The Southwestern Illinois College Board of Trustees will consider a faculty staffing plan for the 2017-18 fiscal years Wednesday night.
The plan would map out the staffing levels anticipated in coming years. SWIC, like higher education institutions across the state, has had to take a close look at staffing because of funding questions in light of the state’s budget crisis.
Board members also will review a plan for vending machines with healthy items.
The meeting will be held at SWIC’s Belleville campus at Carlyle Avenue and Green Mount Road. It starts at 6 p.m. in the Marsh Conference Room on the first floor of the main building.
