Schools to compete for $5,000 prize in video contest

Schools are invited to create a video for the “Get to Know M.E.” campaign and compete for a chance to win $5,000 for their school.

Get to Know M.E. has invited all metro-east schools to participate in the “Got Spirit” award video contest. Videos should use creative means to show how much school spirit the students have and why their school is the best and deserves to win. The video can highlight a particular program, team or department, or focus on the school as an entire entity.

“The Get to Know M.E. campaign is all about giving something back to the community and sharing how awesome the metro-east is, and this video contest is a fun way to do both,” said project manager Carol Bartle. “This contest is a great opportunity to help further improve the educational experience for students across the metro-east.”

Only one entry is permitted per school, and only from metro-east K-12 schools. The first 20 school entries meeting all submission requirements will receive a $500 participation prize. The video must be 60 seconds or less in an .mp4 format no wider than 640 pixels. All videos must be submitted by 5 p.m. Oct. 14. The winner will be chosen by online voting at get2knowthemetroeast.com and will be awarded by Dec. 16. Further details can be found at the website.
