India's April wholesale prices rise 8.3% year-on-year

NEW DELHI - India's wholesale prices rose 8.3% year-on-year in April after a 3.88% gain in the previous month, government data showed on Thursday.

Economists polled by Reuters had projected wholesale prices in April to rise 4.4% year-on-year.
