The Lexington County Coroner's Office identified a body found Wednesday as missing woman Elena Katherine Moore.

The body, described as that of a white female, was discovered June 17 near Old Cherokee Road and Northlake Drive in Lexington County, South Carolina.

Officials said an autopsy is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Additional details on the cause and manner of death are expected Monday.

Moore, 39, was last seen late on June 11 at a Planet Fitness in Lexington, where she frequently worked out. Moore’s husband, Brannon Slice, reported her missing the following day, police said.

Slice is cooperating with investigators, private investigator Harry Dukes of Columbia-based Dukes Investigations & Consulting told Newsweek earlier this week. Dukes said Moore’s husband has been “distraught” over her disappearance.

Lexington Police Department Inspector Missy Silcox told Newsweek Tuesday that “Mr. Slice is not a person of interest at the current moment.”

Police released new photographs late Tuesday showing Moore walking through a Publix parking lot after she left a Planet Fitness at 560 Whiteford Way. She appeared to be heading toward Old Cherokee Road while wearing an olive-green hoodie and black athletic pants.

Investigators also released a photo of Moore from a doorbell camera taken a week before she was reported missing. Officers previously deployed drones in the search for Moore, who works as a personal trainer at Wolf’s Fitness Center in Lexington.

Lauren Beasley, Moore’s friend, said they last spoke about a month ago.

“She did not say anything personal about anything she was going through,” Beasley told Fox News Digital. “She got married last year, but she didn’t say anything about her relationship or work or anything personal.”

But Moore stopped her regular social media posts about a month ago, which Beasley said was abnormal.

“She is very active on social media so her going radio silent for the last month is out of character,” she told the outlet.
