The new year brings the 103rd General Assembly to Illinois, with new representatives taking office for some metro-east residents.
If you have a new representative or haven’t contacted your legislator before, you may be wondering how you can reach out to share a comment or ask a question.
The News-Democrat used several metro-east locations for this list of public officials, but you can enter your specific address in the Illinois State Board of Elections website to confirm who represents your locality.
Here’s how you can contact your metro-east politicians. Campaign information is used for some representatives who take office this month, and their official contacts may change.
Statewide offices

Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias can be reached at transition@alexiforus.com as of Jan. 5. He will take office Jan. 9.
