Here are unofficial election results from St. Clair County, including sheriff and county board

Editor’s note: This story was updated Thursday, Nov. 10, to include a percentage of votes counted for each candidate as of Election Day.

These are the unofficial results of the Nov. 8 election in St. Clair County. The results do not include all of the vote-by-mail ballots requested in St. Clair County.

County Board District 1 (11 of 11 precincts reporting)

  • Robert Allen Jr. (i) (D) - 1,299 (57.5%)
  • Rick Casey (R) (i)*- 959 (42.5%)

* Rick Casey is currently the board member for District 29, which was drawn out of the county board district map during redistricting. Redistricting is when officials alter district boundaries based on population changes after the U.S. Census.

  • Cary Mathews (R) - 1,800 (50.1%)
  • G.W. Scott Jr. (D) - 1,791 (49.9%)

All results are unofficial until certified by election authorities. Local election officials have until Nov. 29 to send their election results to the Illinois State Board of Elections, which is scheduled to certify the official results on Dec. 5.
