After a bad reaction, cookies recalled in California, Texas, New York and 3 other states

Another packaging mistake leading to a food allergy situation that could have serious consequences prompted Tiramisu Twist Cookies to be recalled in California, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Washington and Nevada.

The recall notice by Diego California, based in the Los Angeles-area city of La Mirada, said the “packaging did not adequately disclose” that the cookies had almonds or hazelnuts.

“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds and hazelnuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” states the recall notice, which also says, “There has been one reported case of allergic reaction to this product.”
