The same day an Illinois lottery player won the estimated $1.337 billion Mega Millions jackpot, more than 390,000 other tickets bought in Illinois won prizes.

The $1.337 billion is the largest lottery prize ever won in Illinois, according to an Illinois Lottery release, and the third-largest in the nation. The prize ended up being higher than earlier estimates due to a high number of tickets sold.

The jackpot winner has not been revealed as of Tuesday afternoon, and officials recommend the lucky person sign the back of their ticket, seek legal advice then make an appointment with the Illinois Lottery to claim the prize.

Illinois residents who win $250,000 or more playing the lottery may submit a written request on the Illinois Lottery Claim Form to keep their name and city of residence private.
