A 59-year-old man was found unresponsive in the deep end of a Missouri swimming pool before he died, authorities say.

St. Louis County police were called to a pool drowning shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, according to an Aug. 2 news release.

They found Keven Wright in water about 9 feet deep, police said.

The St. Louis man was pulled from the pool and first responders started CPR, according to the news release. He was then taken to a hospital “for life saving treatment” before he was pronounced dead.

An investigation into the drowning found he may have had a medical emergency before “losing consciousness.”
