Flick Fact: One of the first US soldiers killed in the Korean War, from Bloomington and memorialized how?

Question: Seventy-five years ago, America was in a three-year conflict that became known as the Korean War, and one of the very first U.S. casualties was a 22-year-old from Bloomington who died as his plane tried a landing. Upon Memorial Day, we ask: Do you know how Bloomington remembers this man?

Answer: Next time you're on Morrissey Drive in southeast Bloomington, you're on a stretch of U.S. 150 that connects Hannah Street southward to what is today Veterans Parkway, and was named in 1951 in honor of Raymond Morrissey, one of the first soldiers killed in Korea.
