Forget Kroenke, build an aquarium
When Kroenke became full owner of the St. Louis Rams in 2010, it was obvious putting a quality football team on the field was not a priority for him. Kroenke is a greedy man, who is exercising his right to chase a dollar by moving the Rams to LA. Reality is, the worth of the Rams’ franchise will double immediately, so will television revenues, concession revenues and ticket revenues. LA is the second largest television market in the United States, and St. Louis could never compete with the television revenue. If they could, Kroenke would stay. St. Louis could never satisfy the level of Kroenke greed.
Remember, St. Louis promised Cardinals’ owner Bill Bidwell everything he wanted to stay in St. Louis. St. Louis even built a domed stadium years before Bidwell got his. Bidwell just wanted to move to Phoenix! St. Louis still owes millions on the Edward Jones Dome, and Kroenke didn’t think a new $1.1 billion outdoor stadium was adequate. I was a Cardinal and Rams season ticket holder, but it’s time to say pack up and leave Kroenke. Let LA deal with the his greed. St. Louis can use the money for a better purpose, such as building a world-class aquarium, to use more than 10 times a year.
