The Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday signed Belleville West graduate Brian Hill off the Atlanta Falcons’ practice roster.

Hill, a running back selected by the Falcons in the fifth round of the draft in April, replaced Jeremy Hill on the Bengals’ roster. Jeremy Hill was placed on injured reserve over the weekend.

To make room for the 6-foot-1, 219-pound Brian Hill on the roster, Cincinnati waived linebacker Hardy Nickerson, who was signed as a free agent out of the University of Illinois.

The Falcons waived Hill on Oct. 14 and signed him to their practice squad Oct. 17. Hill played in just one game with the Falcons.

Hill starred for three seasons at Wyoming, setting school career records for rushing yards (4,287) and rushing touchdowns (35). As a junior, Hill also set single-season school records in rushing yards (1,860) and rushing TDs (22).

Cincinnati (3-6) will play at Denver (3-6) on Sunday.
