Gateway will debut ‘DirtPlex’ off-road racing track
Continuing to seek new ways to entertain local racing enthusiasts, Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison will debut its “Dirtplex” off-road racing complex Saturday and Sunday for the The Off-Road Championship Series.
Various classes of trucks, Pro 4, Pro 2 and Pro Lights, will be rumbling and flying around Gateway’s new half-mile off-road racing course. Gates open at noon Saturday with warmups at noon and racing at 3:15 p.m..
Gates open again at noon Sunday with qualifying from noon-12:30 p.m. and racing at 3:15 p.m..
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on Saturday and Sunday. Parking is an additional $5. For tickets or more information, visit www.gatewaymsp.com or call 215-8888.

Belle-Clair Speedway
The Midwest Big Ten Series Opener is set for Friday night at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville. Other classes running are the UMP Kettler & Sons Late Models, Modifieds, B-Modifieds and Belleville Automotive Pure Stocks.
Tri-City Speedway
It’s another Full Throttle Friday at Tri-City Speedway near Granite CIty as the track will host UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, UMP Sport Compacts & B-Modifieds. It’s also $1 hot dog night at the track.
Highland Speedway
Highland Speedway on Saturday will have Late Models running along with Modifieds, B-Mods, Street Stocks and KidModz. It’s also the Grapperhaus Night of Destruction with a Rollover Contest.
