Nate Brede, Wesclin

Brede was on fire on Tuesday night in Wesclin’s 70-58 victory over Mascoutah. The senior was the only Warriors player to score in double digits and he did it in a big way, scoring 35 points.

Terrance Hargrove Jr. and Cornelius Leflore, East St. Louis

Hargrove and Leflore led the way for the Flyers in a close 68-65 win over Orr Academy. Hargrove had a team high 20 points while Leflore was not far behind with 18 points.

Greg Wells, Althoff

Wells scored 23 points as the Crusaders cruised to a 76-54 victory over Ritenour at the Alton Redbird Tip-off Classic.

Malik Smith, Alton

Smith’s 21 points helped to propel the Redbirds to a 78-35 win over Carnahan at the Alton Redbird Tip-off Classic.

Logan Doerr, Gibault

Doerr, a senior for the Hawks, scored 18 points to push Gibault to a convincing 61-31 season opening win over Dupo at the Metro-East Lutheran Turkey Tip-off.

Carson Parker, Nashville

The Hornets limited Waterloo to only 18 points in their 56-18 win with junior Carson Parker leading the charge with 17 points.

Freddy Edwards, Granite City

Edwards scored a team high 21 points with 14 rebounds as the Warriors pushed their way to a 53-33 win over Civic Memorial.


Faith Liljegren, Collinsville

The Kahoks opened their season at the Nashville Thanksgiving Tournament on Monday with a 61-43 win over Okawville. Liljegren had an outstanding night, scoring 19 points along with 3 rebounds and 10 steals.

Sophia Bonaldi, Columbia

Bonaldi scored an impressive 23 points in the Eagles’ 53-38 nonconference win over Jerseyville. Columbia stands at 3-1 on the season.
