Edwardsville sweeps Collinsville behind Stearns' 10 kills

The Edwardsville boys volleyball team cruised to a road sweep over the Collinsville Kahoks.

Behind a match-high 10 kills from Simon Stearns, the Tigers won 25-13, 25-14 over the Kahoks on April 21 inside Vergil Fletcher Gymnasium.

EHS is now 10-7, including 2-1 in the SWC, while the Kahoks are 9-12 overall and 0-3 in the SWC.

Stearns, who also had seven digs, recorded his second match this season with at least 10 kills. He had 15 kills in a three-set win over Father McGivney.

Colin Donaldson added six kills, while Ayden Schonlau and James Gray each finished with three kills and nine service points. Gray also had three blocks.

Jude Lawrence added 18 assists.

Edwardsville returns to action at Maryville Christian at 6 p.m. April 23 in non-conference action.
