Nervous Ryan Reynolds Drops "Adult Diaper" Joke Before Wrexham vs Middlesbrough

Everything is on the line for Wrexham heading into the final day of the EFL Championship season, and co-owner Ryan Reynolds has openly admitted to nerves.

The Welsh side hosts Middlesbrough at the Racecourse Ground, knowing a win is essential to secure a play-off spot and keep alive the hopes of a fourth consecutive promotion.

Currently sitting 6th on 70 points they're tied with Hull City and only narrowly ahead of Derby County, leaving them with practically no room for error.

Middlesbrough, on the other hand are fourth with 79 points and are already guaranteed a play-off spot but they still have a small chance of going up automatically to the Premier League. For that to happen, they need to win and rely on favorable results elsewhere.

Ahead of the game, Reynolds was very honest about the tension and the surrounding match. "I don't know who's more nervous. I would say that we are," he said, referring to himself and co-owner Rob McElhenney.

McElhenney didn't downplay it either. "We will be watching with bated breath, just as they are, with our hearts in our throats, and pits in our stomach," he said.

Reynolds then joked in his usual way saying, "Oh, gosh, yes, everything. I mean, I, I don't even know what to… I'll be wearing an adult diaper for the whole match."

The Wrexham duo was honest about the weight of expectation for this match. A win keeps the dream alive for one of the most incredible climbs we've seen in English football.
