Girlfriend Of Yankees Rookie Spencer Jones Causes Stir With Swimsuit Photo

New York Yankees fans have been waiting a few years to see what Spencer Jones can do in pinstripes. Well, their wish will finally be granted this weekend.

The Yankees have officially called up Jones for their upcoming series with the Milwaukee Brewers. In 33 games at the Triple-A level this season, Jones has owned a .258 batting average with 11 home runs and 41 RBIs. Clearly, the Yankees believe he's ready to make an impact in the majors.

"The last three or four weeks have been a lot of consistent at-bats," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. "The power has been there; less swing and miss, which is some of the things we were seeing a little bit in Spring Training. After that second week in Triple-A where he struggled a little bit with swing and miss, he's cleaned that up. I think I saw he's leading all of Minor League Baseball in RBIs. He's put himself in the mix."

Don't let the numbers fool you, Jones isn't just another powerful bat. Despite being listed at 6-foot-7, he stole 29 bases a season ago.

"That's a large man that hits the ball very far," Yankees star Cody Bellinger said, via SNY. "Freak athlete, too. I didn't know the speed. Very athletic, moves very well, yeah, just a good baseball player."

Jones' girlfriend, Ava O'Connor, is definitely ready to watch him compete in the majors.

"Let's go baby! The most deserving incredible man," she wrote. "I love you!"

O'Connor has been by Jones' side since at least 2024. As you'd imagine, Yankees fans wasted no time welcoming her to the family.

Expectations are high for Spencer Jones.

Yankees fans have been comparing Jones to the team's captain, Aaron Jones, due to his size and power. Of course, that's a bit unfair considering Judge is a future Hall of Famer.

Nonetheless, fans are hoping this won't be a brief stay in the majors for Jones. They want to see him get the chance to join Bellinger and Judge in the outfield.

At the end of the day though, Jones will be the one who decides whether or not he's built for the Bronx.

Jones is expected to wear No. 78 for the Yankees this weekend. We'll see if he lives up to the hype.
