Dates set for the start of Chicago Bears training camp and joint practices with 2 teams

Chicago Bears rookies will report for training camp July 25, and veterans will report July 28 to begin the lead-up to the 2026 season.

The NFL on Monday announced the training camp start dates for all 32 teams.

The Bears are expected to announce information soon regarding practices that are open to the public. The team has held training camp at Halas Hall in Lake Forest since 2020. Tickets to camp practices are free but limited.

The league also announced all joint practice schedules. The Cincinnati Bengals will host the Bears for a joint practice Aug. 20 in Cincinnati before their preseason game Aug. 22.

A week later, the Tennessee Titans will host the Bears for a joint practice Aug. 27 in Nashville before the Aug. 29 preseason finale.

There will be 23 joint practices leaguewide this year. NFL coaches love that those practices afford an opportunity to face an opponent in a controlled environment.

Last year the Bears hosted joint practices with the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills at Halas Hall. The Bears, who open the preseason at home against the Cleveland Browns on Aug. 15, will not host any joint practices in Lake Forest this year.
