Updates from the third round of the John Deere Classic: Lucas Glover, Lee Hodges tied for lead

SILVIS - It was a stormy Saturday at the John Deere Classic, with delays to start and end the day.

In between, there wasn't a bunch of movement on the leaderboard.

Here's a look at how the day unfolded:

Aaron Wise moving up

11:30 a.m.: The hottest player in the early group Saturday has been Aaron Wise, who birdied his first three holes to move into a tie for fourth at 10-under par for the tournament.

Also shooting well has been Patrick Fishburn, who is 3-under through six holes to move to 9-under par and a tie for 11th place.

Leader Lucas Glover remains in front at 14-under for the tournament. He'll tee off at 11:35 a.m. Lee Hodges is in second at 12-under and Zac Blair is third at 11-under. They also tee off at 11:35.

Glover still holding lead

12:28 p.m.: All the golfers in the third round have teed off, with the leader going into the day, Lucas Glover, still holding on to a two-stroke lead at 16-under par through three holes.

Zac Blair remains in second, two strokes back at 14-under. Ryo Hisatsune is tied for third at 3-under with Lee Hodges.

The biggest move up the standings has been made by Kevin Yu, who is 5-under par through nine holes to move to 9-under for the tournament - tied for 15th.

Lucas Glover, Zac Blair tied for lead

1:32 p.m.: With both players through seven holes of the third round, first-round co-leaders Lucas Glover and Zac Blair are tied for the lead at 16-under par.

Glover led the field by two strokes heading into the day and held on to that lead early in the round, but Blair has three birdies and an eagle to move into a tie.

Jackson Suber is two strokes back in third place at 14-under. Lee Hodges is another stroke back in fourth at 13-under.

Four golfers - Doug Ghim, David Lipsky, Ryo Hisatsune and Ben Kohles - are in a tie for fifth.

Zac Blair charges into lead

2:29 p.m.: At 6-under par through 10 holes, Zac Blair has erased Lucas Glover's two-stroke lead and taken his own two-stroke lead at 17-under par for the tournament.

Glover, who is 1-under for the round through 10, is at 15-under for the tournament and is two strokes ahead of Jackson Suber in third at 13-under.

There's a logjam from there, with seven golfers tied for fourth at 12-under.

Rickie Fowler is among the day's hottest golfers at 7-under for the round to move into a tie for 16th at 10-under for the tournament.

Blair, Glover tied again

2:52 p.m.: Zac Blair and Lucas Glover are in a third-round battle. Through 11 holes, the first-round co-leaders are tied for the JDC lead at 15-under par.

Blair led by two strokes but had a bogey on 11 while Glover had a par.

Doug Gihm is 5-under for the third round and is tied for third with Jackson Suber and Lee Hodges at 13-under for the tournament.

Chandler Phillips, Preston Stout, Aaron Wise, Zach Johnson, Ryo Hisatsune and Ben Kohles are tied for sixth at 12-under.

Also within striking distance at 11-under and tied for 12th are: Blades Brown, Andrew Putnam, Rickie Fowler, William Mouw, Max Homa, David Lipsky, Tyler Duncan, and Troy Merritt.

Blair in first headed down stretch

3:57 p.m.: Through 15 holes, Zac Blair holds a one-stroke lead at 16-under par. He's 5-under for the round.

Sitting one stroke back are Lucas Glover, Jackson Suber and Lee Hodges.

Tied for fifth and two strokes off the lead are Doug Gihm and Ben Kohles.

Ryo Hisatsune is alone in seventh, three strokes back at 13-under.

Chandler Phillips, amateur Preston Stout and Zach Johnson are tied for eighth at 12-under - four strokes off the lead.

The best second round so far has been Rickie Fowler, who was 8-under par for the day and is 11-under for the tournament - tied for 11th.

Weather delays finish of third round

4:35 p.m.: Lightning has delayed the finish of the third round of the JDC.

With just eight golfers left on the course, including four of the five leaders, Zac Blair remains in front by one stroke at 16-under par.

Four players are tied for second - Ben Kohles, Jackson Suber, Lucas Glover and Lee Hodges. They're 15-under, with Kohles finished, Suber on 17, and both Glover and Hodges on 16 with Blair.

Doug Gihm finished his round in sixth place at 14-under, with Zach Johnson in seventh at 13-under. Chandler Phillips, Preston Stout, Max Homa and Ryu Hisatsune are all four strokes back and tied for eighth.

Play resumes with a crowd at the top

5:41 p.m.: After a lightning delay, golfers are back on the course and there's a three-way tie at the top.

Through 17 holes, the three golfers in the final group - Lucas Glover, Zac Blair and Lee Hodges - are tied for first at 16-under par.

Hodges had a birdie on 17 while Glover had a bogey and Blair had a par on the hole.

Ben Kohles and Jackson Suber finished their rounds at 15-under and are tied for fourth, one stroke back.

Doug Gihm is in fifth at 14-under and Zach Johnson is in sixth at 13-under. Chandler Phillips and Preston Stout are tied for eighth at 12-under - four strokes off the lead.

Lucas Glover still in share of lead

5:55 p.m.: For the third day in a row, Lucas Glover was on top, this time sharing the lead with Lee Hodges at 16-under par 197 for the tournament.

Glover shared the lead with Zac Blair after the first round and was alone at the top after the second. On Saturday, he shot 2-under par 69 - his worst round of the tournament. But it was good enough to hold on to the lead with Hodges, who moved up by shooting a 4-under par 67.

One stroke behind the leaders in a tie for third are Blair, Ben Kohles and Jackson Suber at 15-under for the tournament.
