Mantle had great success in World Series

Legendary New York Yankees great Mickey Mantle would have celebrated his 84th birthday on Tuesday. Mantle died in 1995 but is without question one of the great players of all time and one of the great clutch hitters of all time.

Wednesday’s question: How many times did Mickey Mantle play in the World Series? How many home runs did he hit in the World Series and how many times did he win the World Series MVP.

Tuesday’s answer: Jager won seven Olympic medals —5 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze. All of his golds came in relays. His individual medals were a silver in the 1988 50 meter freestyle and bronze in the 1992 50 meter freestyle. His other major international titles came in the 50 free at the 1989 and 1991 Pan-Pacific Championships. His great sprint rivals were Matt Biondi, who beat him at the Olympics in 1988, and Aleksander Popov, who won the 50 freestyle in 1992 and 1996.
