Yesterday’s answer: The New York Giants had 10 shutouts in 13 games. New York fans were having the year of a lifetime in 1927. They watched Murderers Row with Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates in the World Series. Then the Giants had a tremendous NFL season also. The Giants went 11-1-1 in that season and won the NFL Championship. In their 13 games, they allowed only 20 points in the entire season. They allowed the Cardinals and Bears to score seven. They also allowed the Cleveland Bulldogs to score six and that resulted in the Giants’ only loss in the season.
