Local speedways announce April racing schedules
Tri-City Speedway and Belle-Clair Speedway have each announced a full month of racing for April.
At Tri-City
It all begins April 1 with the first of its regular Full Throttle Fridays. Racing five classes will commence without intermission. Classes include UMP late models, UMP modifieds, UMP St. Stocks, UMP 4-cylinder and B-Mods.
General admission for adults is $12 with a dollar discount to seniors and military. Kids under 12 are free with a paid adult.
Games open at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps to follow at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:15 p.m.
Other events on the April schedule include:
April 8 - Full Throttle Friday
April 15 - "Deuces Wile MOWA 410." Winged sprints, UMP late models and UMP modifieds each run with $2,000 prize money at stake. Admission is $20 for adults. Front gates open at 5:30 p.m.
April 22 - Full Throttle Friday
April 29 - "Lucas Oil Bud 50" Lucas Oil late models run with a $10,000 purse and UMP modifieds go with $1,000 up for grabs.
At Belle-Clair
April 8 - "Southern Illinois Shootout" UMP modifieds, UMP pro modifieds, UMP/AARA pure stocks, Boss chassis Micro Sprints, mod-lites and dwarfs.
April 15 - "Non-Wing Nationals" POWRi Micros; WAR Non-Wing Sprints, mod-lites and dwarfs.
April 29 - "Spring Fling" POWRi Midgets, POWRi Macros, mod-lites and dwarfs.
