Waite Hoyt was the lone pitcher to win 20 or more games. Hoyt went 22-7 in the season. To encore, he went 23-7 in 1928 to help the Yankees to another World Series appearance. The other pitchers to help the 1927 team were Wilcy Moore with his 19-7 record, Herb Pennock who went 19-8, Urban Shocker who was 18-6, Dutch Ruether who went 13-6, and George Pipgras who was 10-3. The Yankees’ season record was 110-44.
