Who was Patriots’ first Pro Bowl QB?

Today’s question: Long before Drew Bledsoe and Tom Brady, the Patriots had another Pro Bowl quarterback. He later went on the earn a Super Bowl ring as Joe Namath’s backup with the 1969 New York Jets. Who was he?

Yesterday’s answer: Tom Watson. Watson won the award in 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1982. Nicklaus won four times, and would certainly have won six, except for a rule (since removed) that a player had to be active on the tour for five years before being eligible (making Nicklaus ineligable in 1963 and 1965, when he would surely have won both.)
