McKendree’s Reeb selected by USTA

LEBANON McKendree University men’s and women’s tennis coach Adam Reeb has been selected as a coach for the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Missouri Valley 16’s Zonal teams.

The coaches are responsible for coaching a team of the top junior level boys and girls players at National Team Competitions held over the summer. The Zone Team Championship is a National Level two tournament and will be held in Oklahoma City, Okla., at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center on July 2-6. Missouri Valley will send three teams to compete at the event.

“To be selected by the USTA Missouri Valley organization is a tremendous honor,” said Reeb. “Team tennis is the most exciting form of tennis, and I’m happy that I will be a part of a team tennis experience for some of the best junior tennis players in the country. This opportunity also gives me a chance to interact with and learn from some of the best coaches in the country and I’m looking forward to this event. It’s a great chance to increase the footprint of McKendree University Tennis on a national scale.”

Reeb is a combined 66-33 in his two seasons at McKendree, including three Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament appearances and a trip to the NCAA Midwest Regional tournament in 2014.

Reeb is joined by Denise Dy and Sadhaf Pervez on the 16’s Zonal coaching staff. Dy is currently an assistant women’s tennis coach at the University of Iowa, while Pervez is the head women’s tennis coach at Drake University.
