The Lindenwood University-Belleville Men’s basketball team traveled to St. Louis as they stepped out of conference play to take on NCAA DII University of Missouri-St. Louis Tritons and fell 90-47.
The Tritons start the game on a 14-4 run over the first four minutes. Two consecutive 3-point baskets by freshman guard JC Moll got the Lynx within four at the 15:15 mark of the first half. Unfortunately, the Tritons followed up with a 15-0 run and never looked back.
At halftime, the Tritons led 52-23.
In the second half, the Tritons kept up their fast-paced tempo and pressure, outscoring the Lynx 38-24.
The Lynx shot 32 percent from the floor, 31 percent from 3-point range, and 40 percent from the free throw line. Moll led the Lynx in scoring with 21 points, a career high.
The Lynx return to Lynx Arena on Thursday, Dec. 6 to welcome the Lincoln Christian University Red Lions with tip scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
