McSweeney collects GLVC athlete of the week honors
Senior Quincy McSweeney (Eureka, IL/Eureka) was named athlete of the week for indoor track and field by the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) on Tuesday due to her strong record-breaking mile performance at the Vanderbilt Home Opener this past weekend.
In the first meet of the year for the Bearcats, McSweeney shattered a school record that has not been broken for 20 years and set a new personal best time for herself in the mile race.
