Waterloo’s Ruff honored by LU-Belleville

Lindenwood University-Belleville center fielder Ethan Ruff has been named to the 2016 Rawlings ABCA/Rawlings NAIA Baseball Gold Glove Team.

Ruff, a Waterloo graduate, native had a stellar 2016 season at the plate and in the field for the Lynx. He hit .362 while setting new single-season records in hits (76), runs scored (36), doubles (11), RBI (26) and stolen bases (28). For his efforts at the plate, he was named to the All-American Midwest Conference (AMC) Second Team.

In the field, meanwhile, Ruff earned Gold Glove honors from the AMC after ending the season with a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 and had 10 outfield assists.
