O’Fallon handles Belleville East in Southwestern Conference baseball game
The O’Fallon Panthers defeated the Belleville East Lancers 10-0. O’Fallon had eight hits while Belleville East only tallied three.
The Panthers got off to a hot start by bringing six men across the plate in the first inning. Joe Guithues went 2-3 with two RBIs and Chase Hackstadt finished 2-2 at the plate.
Hayden Juenger was the winning pitcher, allowing only three hits and no runs in a complete game effort before the mercy rule was applied after five innings.
Cody Freppon took the loss while Evan Lawrence went 2-for-3 and Jaden Webb finished 1-for-2 to lead the Lancers attack.
The game was played in O’Fallon.
