Top high school golfers compete at Goalby-Haas Invitational

The OFallon Panthers girls and Alhoff Crusaders boys captured team championships at the Goalby-Haas Golf Tournament on Thursday at St. Clair Country Club in Belleville.

O’Fallon finished with a four-person score of 153 to win the girls event. The Panthers were led by medalist Natalie Meinkoth who finished with a 35 while Brianna McMinn and Emily Marrs added rounds of 37. Belleville East, getting rounds of 41 from Bre Haas and 42 from Claire Furlow placed second with a score of 189.

Althoff, led by rounds of 35 from senior Dylan Davidson and 37 from sophomore Jack Bruening won the boys division with a score of 155. Columbia (170) and O’Fallon (171) rounded out the top three teams.
