Consistent serving leads O’Fallon to victory over Triad
Rolling off an emotional win against Mater Dei, the Panthers won their match against Triad on Wednesday in two sets, 25-10 and 25-8.
Coach Melissa Massey believes this is one of her best, most-consistent serving teams, and the Panthers showed it Wednesday with several aces.
Up front, Elisa Smith, Kenzee Simmers and Lauren Lapre had strong, precise hits.
“Simmers is a strong hitter and can place the ball up front,” Massey said. “Lapre dominates the back row as an outside hitter.”
O’Fallon’s first Southwestern Conference match will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday against Belleville East (0-4). The Knights will play Alton (1-3) at 9 a.m. Saturday.
