JORDYN ALFORD
Triad ▪ Softball
Alford smacked a pair of homers and had three RBIs Wednesday as Triad knocked off Civic Memorial 12-1 in a Mississippi Valley Conference game.
KEVEION AKINS
Cahokia ▪ Track
Competing in the 400 meters for the second time in his life, Akins won the title at the Winston Brown Invitational on Satuday, finishing in a time of 48.18 seconds. Akins also won the 100 meter title at Edwardsville High Schol.
KASEY BRADLEY
Waterloo ▪ Softball
Bradley has been unbeatable on the mound this season for the Bulldogs and she struck out 14 while scattering six hits Wednesday in a 9-0 Mississippi Valley Conference win over Mascoutah. Bradley also had a two-hit shutout over Civic Memorial on Monday (11-0 win). Bradley was 13-0 after Friday with a 0.79 ERA and 98 strikeouts in 89 innings.
DESHON BUCHANAN, BRIAN GICHURU and RICKY NELSON
Belleville West ▪ Track
This trio combined for seven titles as Belleville West won the Belleville city track title. Gichuru won the 1,600 and 3,200 meters, Nelson took home the top prize in the shot put and disscus and Buchanan won the 100, 200 and 400 meter championships.

Mascoutah ▪ Baseball
The senior lit up the Red Bud Musketeers on Friday, going 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double and eight RBIs in Mascoutah's 18-1 victory. Brendan Schanz had four RBIs in the game for the Indians.
JACOB HAMILTON and CHASE STUMNE
Belleville East ▪ Tennis
Remained undefeated this season by winning the No. 1 doubles flight at the rain-shortened Belleville East Tennis Tournament. The title is the second in two weeks for the Lancers pair which won at Moline the previous week. Hamilton and Stumne placed in the top 12 at the IHSA State Tournament in doubles last year.

Harlan, a senior, threw 5 1/3 innings over two games and allowed no runs on three hits with eight strikeouts. He faced 28 batters and issued just one walk.
ERIKA LLOYD
Waterloo▪ Soccer
Lloyd, a junior, had a three goals and an assist in a 7-1 victory over Mascoutah on Thursday, then came back with two goals and an assist in a 3-0 win over Belleville East on Friday.
DREW MILLAS
Belleville East ▪ Baseball
Millas, a junior catcher, went 9-for-17 with a double and five RBIs during the week.
BRADY SCHANUEL
Belleville East ▪ Baseball
Schanuel, a senior right-hander, walked one and struck out 10 in eight scoreless innings in a 1-0 victory over Belleville West on Tuesday. Schanuel permitted just one hit. He is 4-1 with five walks and 61 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings.
ROMAJIAN SMITH
Belleville East ▪ Track
Smith, a senior, defeated Highland sophomore Tyler Higgins in the 100 and 200 meter dashes on Friday at the Military Track Classic at Mascoutah High School. Higgins, who finished second in both events, did win the 400 meter championship.
NICK STEPHENSON
Belleville West ▪ Volleyball
Stephenson hammered down 17 kills as Belleville West clinched the Belleville city title with a win over Belleville East.
KIRSTEN THOMAS
Central ▪ Softball
Thomas was 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBIS Wednesday in the Cougars' 16-4 win over rival Mater Dei. Mackenzie Raterman and Olivia Wesselman also homered for Central.
BRENDAN WILHELM
Columbia ▪ Baseball
Wilhelm saw his perfect game end with two outs in the eighth inning when he issued a walk, but still was able to finish off a nine-inning no-hitter Thursday in Columbia's 3-0 Cahokia Conference victory. He struck out nine in the route-going performance.
SIDNI WILLIAMSON
Belleville East ▪ Track
One of the premier track athletes in the metro-east, Willamson won the 100, 200 and long jumnp titles as she helped the Lancers win their third straight city track championship.
